Granite Falls Museum
A group from MHS took a trip to the Granite Falls museum to see the new building recently opened by their Historical Society.
We were met by docents Penny and Fred Cruger and spent the morning touring their facility. Displays cover all aspects of historical
Granite Falls, from a millinery shop to a shingle mill, including a full size spar tree. Those of us who climbed to the loft found a still in
the corner and saw the workings of the ceiling fans. This loft gave another wonderful view of the spar tree and surrounding displays.
Since most MHS activities include food, we ended with lunch at a local restaurant.
