New Exhibit Summer 2008:

Mukilteo: The Way We Were

The new exhibit, to be located in Quarters B in place of the current one on WWII, will feature a large 1926 map of Mukilteo, showing the locations of businesses, churches and other buildings. Historic photos will illustrate how much Mukilteo has changed from the time when Park Avenue was the main street.

Another part of the exhibit will feature renderings of historic Mukilteo by several artists. Artifacts from the Historical Society’s collection, including vintage clothing and interesting household objects, will further illustrate “the way we were”. A new display rack will offer photos to enlighten visitors on the background of various contemporary entities such as the Mukilteo post office, city government, garden clubs, and other organizations.

If you have ideas and suggestions for the exhibit or would like to work on it, please contact Ann Collier (425) 315-0823, or e-mail ann@mukilteohistorical.org.
